Jay’s musical background dates back to piano as a grammar school student, playing the string bass in the high school orchestra, and some beginner level guitar work in college.  As retirement approached, Jay bought a banjo and started taking lessons, since bluegrass had always piqued his interest.  There was no turning back…

Shortly after arriving in Green Valley, he connected with many of the talented musicians that populate our town.  In 2012, Bountiful Bluegrass and Roots Band was born.  The core group has been together now for over 13 years, performing at various senior care centers, GVR Clubs and other invited venues in the Green Valley / Tucson area.
